The day the river ran red
Source. Google photo of the Ram temple under construction in Ayodhya in India
The day the Saryu river ran red with the blood of the Hindu devotees of Shri Ram in Ayodhya, I was in my hometown. Someone came running out of breath to tell us that there was a massacre in Ayodhya that day in 1992
I was in shock like everyone else because no one expected to hear that the police had opened fire on unarmed Hindus who were protesting at the site of a mosque. They wanted to demolish the Babri masjid that had been built there where there used to be a temple of Ram. It was ordered by the Mughal King Babur in the 15th century to be demolished to build a mosque. This was not the only Hindu temple demolished by Babur who was a fanatic Moslem . His descendants who ruled India for centuries did the same in the name of their faith because their Quran approved it.
All over India, the Hindu temples were desecrated and demolished to build mosques built on top often with the stones recovered from the demolished temples. Other monuments were erected in Delhi called Qutub Minar that is the tallest tower in India but the Islamic rulers destroyed the temple complex there and used its stones to build the tower. They did not care to hide the markings on the stones that clearly showed that it was a Hindu temple there , such was their arrogance. They were the rulers so they could do anything they wanted like killing of Hindus and destruction of their holy places of worship.
After all, their Quran clearly mentions that such horrible acts against the non-believers were quite praiseworthy so the fanatics said that they were only following what was written in their holy book. They felt no remorse . What is surprising is the fact that such horrible acts are still being committed by the fanatics who do it in the name of their holy book and to make terrorism a common household word worldwide.
The large number of Hindu devotees in Ayodhya that day were only claiming what was theirs so they demolished the mosque practically with their bare hands until the armed policemen arrived and opened fire on them. Their blood flowed to the river Saryu and made it red while the vultures circled high above. They were immune to the wail and agony of those who were injured while the policemen refilled their carbines with bullets like those German guards in the concentration camps of Germany.
The police fired some 500 rounds of bullets on innocent people. The dead and the injured were too numerous to count.
So people asked who gave the order to fire on the unarmed Hindu devotees? It was the chief minister of the State who won election by his appeasement policy toward the Moslem voters who helped him win election that made him the chief minister of that state. The police said that they were simply following orders just like the guards of Auschwitz and similar camps who gunned down 6 million jews in Europe and showed no mercy or remorse. They too were following orders.
The sad part is that this Hindu hating chief minister was given a national award after his death by the present government of India for his black deeds. It claims to support the demands of all Hindus in the country who want their Ram temple to be rebuilt.
Finally after waiting for some 550 years, the Supreme Court of India came to a decision that Ram temple should be built again in Ayodhya so the Hindus contributed millions of Rupees for the construction. The prime minister laid the foundation of the temple in 2019 after the verdict and the construction began. It will be built with private donation so the money keeps flowing to the coffers from donors all over the country and abroad. Some have sold all their land and properties to do so while the Hindu diaspora living abroad continues to send money in great quantity.
It is interesting that some Moslems now admit that Babur committed a great sin 550 years ago so they are now trying to atone for it by donating money to build the grand temple in Ayodhya. People from many Moslem countries are also donating money and many Moslem leaders will attend the ceremony planned for the 22nd of January this year.
If you turn on the TV , you will see the progress being made of the construction of the huge Ram temple in Ayodhya where the Babri masjid used to stand and where the statue of Ram will soon be established by the Prime Minister of India on January 22, 2024. The completion of the entire temple and its auxiliary buildings on the premises may take a few more years but the devotees want to see their God established there as soon as possible so thousands of workers are toiling day and night to meet the deadline of January 22 this coming month.
But the struggle to build a Ram temple started some 500 years ago before the advent of the British in India but the Moguls who ruled India ignored this demand and went on to demolish more Hindu holy temples in very large numbers. Those who resisted were killed so the slaughter continued even after India became independent. Then came the British to colonize and stayed until a great patriot warrior called Netaji Bose chased them out through his armed struggle in 1947. The British showed no interest in rebuilding the Ram temple for the Hindus when they ruled.
The Hindus took the matter to the Supreme court but there as well the case remained dormant due to clever lawyers of the Moslems who had no interest in resolving the issue. Now some 500 years had passed so the Hindus became impatient and took the matter into their own hands on the day when the police came to kill them. Those who survived, vowed to continue their struggle and waited until a new Hindu leader came to power who declared in his election manifesto that it was his top priority to build the Ram temple.
Then one day the Supreme Court of India gave the verdict in the favor of the Hindus in a unanimous agreement that Ram temple had been illegally demolished by Babur so a new Ram temple should be built there. The whole country and all the Hindus living abroad rejoiced and started collecting money to build the greatest temple ever built in the country.
Babur must be turning in his grave somewhere but his followers did not take kindly to this discomfiture of Babur so they have vowed to someday demolish the temple and rebuild a mosque there. It reminds me of the Jews who still wait for justice in their favor to build their temple at the temple mount of Jerusalem but no one knows how many more centuries they have to wait. Will their Supreme court one day give them justice by giving a verdict that the mosque built on their holy temple mount was illegally built by the Muslims? In the matter of faith, people are willing to die to achieve the goal just like in India. Over 6 million Jews perished because someone hated them. How many more have to die before their temple mount is cleared where they will be allowed to rebuild their temple?
All religions like the Christianity, Islam and others have their holy places like the Vatican or the Mecca except the Hindus who have suffered for centuries in the hands of the hordes of assailants who came to India to loot, desecrate the Hindu temples and massacre them. Others were forcibly converted to Islam with the threat of death.
What is happening in India today is a mass revival of a Hindu nationalist sentiment that is widespread that no longer wants to wait any longer and wants to rebuild all the demolished temples in the country. This revival is what the non Hindus are least expecting and are at a loss to understand how to counter this nationwide movement.
Some are resorting to violence while others are planning to blow up the new Ram temple but they also know that they will not succeed . When the 80% population that follows Hinduism and decides enough is enough, it will bring out the collective will of more than a Billion people. No one foreign religion can withstand such a tsunami like what happened in Spain centuries ago. After a fierce battle with the Moslems , the Spaniards won and chased the deeply entrenched Moslems forever.Watch the movie El Cid to learn more.
The imposition of a foreign religion on the native population in any country faces stiff resistance often leading to bloodshed so today it is an obsolete idea. Now people fight back through the courts , mass demonstrations everywhere or simply destroy the illegally built edifices by the outsiders. The courts can delay a case but can never dismiss it without hearing so people wait. Then comes a change one day when the old hard headed judges retire and are replaced by more pragmatic young judges who favor a verdict that gives justice to prove that they are not called justices for nothing.
It takes courage to face up to the challenges the societies face everywhere so some people step up to shed their blood if need be. Such people become immortal and are mentioned in the pages of history forever. Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Steven Biko, Nelson Mandela, Fidel Castro, Walter Sisulu, Kwame Nkrumah, Che Guevara, Djamila Boupacha, Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Ajaad, Khudiram Bose, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Queen Laksmi Bai, Udham Singh all sacrificed themselves because they stood up against the tyrants and injustice. Their sacrifice won them the end of Apartheid, end of discrimination against the blacks, end of slavery, end of the British empire and forced conversion to other religions.
These pages are not enough to list all the heroes who died so that others could live freely but one thing is sure. There will always be people who will protest the injustice and fight it even if they have to shed their own blood.
Let us hope that the waters of Saryu in Ayodhya or anywhere will never again be stained by the blood of the people who only wanted justice.
I wish the Indian leaders will recognise the sacrifices the devotees of Ram made in Ayodhya in 1992 and will write in golden letters their names in a plaque to be placed in the new Ram temple to remind the generations to come that their sacrifices were not in vain.
But who reads my blogs and who will put such a plaque in Ayodhya? The blind folded lady holding the balance of justice in front of every courtroom in the world sheds silent tears at all the injustice in the world.

A few years ago, I took up the idea that I could write about some social issues about which I felt strongly enough and let the world know how I felt about them. So, I became a sort of armchair activist to bring a focus on the ills that people face in any society so that they could become more aware and take some actions to face these issues squarely to find a solution. Sometimes I tried to make people aware about the danger of drugs, alcohol addiction, gambling or child trafficking. At other times I wrote about the menace of prostitution or the poaching of precious animals to sell their skins. I also wrote about how to save the river dolphins or the peacocks that are being decimated by feral cats and dogs in India.
I wrote on numerous topics including travel to exotic countries, arts and crafts of many countries and presented power points on them, or heavenly foods in India and other topics that I cared about and wrote extensively since I started writing in 2016 and published them all as blogs using many free platforms available to me.
I did not stop there. I also wrote extensively about the great people who brought fundamental changes in their country through their struggle and sacrifices. I received thousands of comments from my readers in more than 140 countries, so I know that you my readers like to read what I write so I am grateful to you and thank you. Please read my complete list of blogs I have published so far in the link given here. (https://aumolc.wordpress.com/2023/05/13/a-list-of-all-of-my-blogs-2/ )
But now that I am reaching the end of my writing career after having published more than 440 blogs and my biography in 14 chapters that will tell you about all the countries where I lived and worked for many years and of my experience there as only, I could write about, I felt that I was missing something.
So today I thought of writing about a great lady who had tremendous influence on me as I was growing up in India. So read this blog and send me your comments. I will look forward to reading them and publish them.
The story of a great lady
A beautiful child was born in a respectable Brahmin family in India long ago after her mother fasted and prayed in a Shiva temple to have a baby girl, so Lord Shiva granted her wish, and a beautiful child was born to the great joy and ecstasy of her parents. She was considered God’s gift to the couple so she could not be denied anything she wanted. She was the apple of their eyes and was pampered but she was not the only child. She was born in a family of three brothers and two more children came after her making it a large family but that was quite normal in those days meaning a hundred years ago.
It was the period of the British Raaj in India when some missionaries tried to bring education to the girls by opening schools for them and going house to house to convince the parents to send their children to the mission schools. But in those days one hundred years ago, female education was not popular because the parents did not see the need for a formal education for the girls.
It was not known if the pretty child attended a missionary school, but her mother and father taught her the Bengali alphabets, so she learned to write beautifully and took avid interest in reading Bengali classics.
Her loving mother taught her many skills in crochet, embroidery and cross stitch that she developed at a very early stage. A child in those days was taught all the skills she needed to become a successful home maker like cooking, knitting and making numerous types of pickles. She watched her elders to learn how to raise a baby and how to care for him or her.
As a child she perhaps had all the aspirations all children had like getting some dolls to play with or other toys or making friends with other children of her age, but she was born at a time when child marriage was practiced so at a very tender age of 13, she was told to get ready to get married. She was still a child who did not know what it meant to be married. She was sad that her wonderful childhood was to end so soon, and she would leave the comfortable home where she was the pampered child. She was scared of going away from her parents with a stranger toward an unknown future.
She worried about the groom and most of all who could he be because in the arranged marriage, the bride did not get to meet the groom before marriage. Her parents chose a gentleman for her and started to prepare for her marriage in earnest. It meant getting her gold jewelries and fine silk saris ready. They made all the preparations like the gifts for the groom and his family and what food to serve the guests. It meant a lot of expense on their part that perhaps included a dowry, but the child was unaware of the details. Even the invitation letters were printed, and a date had been fixed after consulting a priest and the Hindu almanac for an auspicious day and time but soon came a twist that no one had even thought of.
The would-be groom made a big mistake by demanding to see the very young bride-to-be before marriage that her father took as an offense because it was against the practice in those days, so he abruptly canceled the wedding that shocked everybody including the child. She was devastated and knew that canceling the wedding at the last minute meant a loss of face for her parents and a stain on her family. She could not understand why the demand to see her before marriage was such a big deal for her parents and why her father took offense. She was a beautiful child and wore no veil.
At this time her elder brother came to her rescue and brought the news that he knew of a young man of a good Brahmin family who could be persuaded to marry his sister. He was only 22 who worked as an accountant for the British somewhere, so her father agreed to meet him and convince him that the girl was a gem, so the marriage was arranged, and her mother shed a tear of joy. She had prayed hard to find a suitable match for her daughter at this late hour which was a very difficult thing to do but it all ended well when her prayers were answered.
But after the marriage, the groom who was only 22 years old said that he was not ready to bring his young wife to his station because there was no facility for her there like a decent house among other things. It would have been very difficult for a young bride to live with him in primitive conditions because she was from a city who had never seen a village.
So, the new husband made arrangement for her to go and live in his native village among his relatives until he was ready to bring her to his station sometime later. It was shocking to the girl who dreaded living in a village among strangers without light and running water, but she had no choice so one day few men arrived to bring her to the village in faraway Bengal first by train which was a novelty for her because she had never been on a train.
It was a very long and stressful journey for her because she did not know anything about the geography and where the village was, so she was worried. She took a leap of faith to take such a long journey with strangers because somehow, she believed her husband who had promised to rescue her, but she did not know when.
Then from Kolkata, they boarded a steamboat that brought her to the main river near the village, and then to the village by a small dinghy because the large steamboat could not enter the small and shallow stream. No one talked to her during her long journey. She was very shy and could not say to her fellow travelers to let her off somewhere so that she could relieve herself, so she bit her lips and tolerated her pain silently.
You can imagine how shocked she was when finally, the dinghy arrived at the village where a few men and women stood with a kerosene lamp to receive her. All she saw was total darkness and heard the howling of jackals, but her ordeal was not over yet. The women examined her crucially from head to toe as was the custom, but she endured and finally she was able to relieve herself. Women understood her problem right away and brought her to a primitive toilet.
It was all a very new experience for her, but she steeled herself to live in the Godforsaken village among total strangers as best as she could and wait patiently for her husband who had promised to bring her to his place in the future. Later in her life she talked of her time in that village with some nostalgia and how she was able to adjust to live in mud houses without light and water. The stream was just nearby so she got used to carry water from there, learned to cook Bengali food and many other things while patiently waiting for her husband to come.
She could read and write but letters from her husband were rare. It brought her tremendous joy when she got one. Then one day he arrived in the village and told her to get ready because he had found a house where they could now live as a family. India is a big country, so the train journey took many days to reach the place where he worked that is presently called Pakistan now.
Thus started her nomadic life that brought her to all parts of India because her husband was transferred from one place to the next by the British. She was a young woman now and a mother of many children, but she raised them well in spite of frequent transfer from one city to the next.
But a time came when her children needed formal education, so they moved to her hometown where they found a rented place. She was very happy to return to her town where she was born and raised and because the kids started schooling while she became a devoted mother attending to all their needs. She prepared tasty meals for them, washed their clothes and ironed them, prepared their lunch boxes and even painted their Keds with white chalk.
She stayed up whole night to nurse when a kid had fever and sometime tended two or three who fell sick at the same time. She was fond of her youngest son and told him bedtime stories and he became very close to her and ran all errands for her. He patiently put colored threads in her needle so that she could make beautiful cross stitch work of art. He would help her grind the salt or turmeric in the heavy stone grinder. He would grate the mangoes for her to make pickles and he would run to the market to buy the things she ordered to make sweets.
She gave most of her gold jewelry to her husband when he found it difficult to find enough money to build her a new home. She brought her eldest daughter home when she became a widow, sent her to school and later college so that she could get a job and become independent. She persuaded her second daughter to undergo tubal ligation to limit the number of children because her husband did not earn much. She convinced her husband to let her third daughter to take up the government job she was offered in a nearby town so that she too could be independent. This way she helped everyone in her family until her last breath.
She was old now and a widow because her husband died of cancer a few years ago but her help during his sickness was exemplary. She brought him food every day and took bus to reach the hospital when no one offered her a seat. Such a devoted wife and her self-sacrifice is very hard to find. She was big hearted and gave money to orphans and to many temples as charity. She gave food or money to any beggar who came to her gate.
She collected rice and daal from many houses during Durga Pooja festival feast because there was not enough money to buy the things. Being a devout Hindu, she prayed every day, read the scriptures and kept a beautiful image of Lakhsmi, the Goddess of wealth in her prayer room.
When her youngest son declared that he was going to Vietnam to work there as a volunteer, she happily chose a piece of cloth to make a suit for his travel. She went by train to Kolkata to see him off at the airport and she wrote him loving letters in her beautiful writing and he in a distant land waited eagerly to receive her letters. She was happy as a child when he brought her to Agra one time to see the Taj Mahal and when he brought her to a movie she enjoyed tremendously.
She gave her blessing to him when he decided to marry in a foreign country and lovingly received the new bride when she arrived in India. She braided her hair and gave her gold bracelets. She massaged the newly born baby every day and loved her granddaughter and the baby grandson.
But now she was nearing 90 and feeble. She could not see very well and seldom went outside her home. The son always returned to India to see her, caressed her snow-white hair lovingly and secretly left money under her pillow. She shed a tear when he said that her sacrifice to raise all her children was the reason he and his siblings did well, got good education and good jobs. She took care of them when sick and stayed up whole night to fan their hot fever racked bodies. She patiently and lovingly fed them medicine and nourishing food to bring them back to health.
We know that we all get old and die someday but are we ever prepared for the day when we see our loved ones die? One day the dreaded news came by phone that she died so the son flew to India to attend to her last rites. She left a very big void in his life that brings secret tears to his eyes. She thought of her daughters and left them money.
Now you can guess who the great lady was. She was my mother. I am her youngest son. I still mourn her and remember her as a great lady who gave me birth and brought me up to be what I am today. I was blessed to have such a mother who left such a mark on me. I sometime look up to see the bright twinkling stars and wonder if she is now among them. I miss her very much.

Aliens
Source: Google photo of alien
Synopsis: We now know that aliens exist, and they frequently visit our planet perhaps to learn more about us but treating them as hostile is wrong so we should welcome them and learn about them in a very friendly manner. They have immense treasure of knowledge that the humanity can benefit from but making them angry will only bring on us the dark clouds of destruction.
We know that the word alien refers to beings who live on other planets and often seen visiting ours in their spacecrafts but in some countries like USA, they use the word aliens for non-Americans, but such usage of the word is wrong because non-Americans do not come from other planets. We know that aliens do exist because their spacecraft crashed at Roswell and their bodies were recovered by the US army and brought to their labs for postmortem. The remains of the craft were gathered and taken to a secret location to examine how it was made and of what metal. They spread the story that it was no alien craft but a weather balloon, but evidence gathered suggested otherwise including the disclosure by some scientists who worked at the secret army base in Nevada called Area 51 claiming that some aliens were captured alive and were taken to the secret base as captives to learn from them about their advance technology in building military aircrafts and super sophisticated spacecrafts that travel at the speed of light.
What the scientists found and learned from the aliens remain super-secret, but lately strange designs of fighter planes or other aircrafts show that they may have learned a thing or two about aircraft designs from them. The government still denies the existence of aliens and their technologies, but numerous photos and videos have come out that clearly show that they exist, and their spacecrafts have been seen and photographed by the commercial pilots or military pilots in various parts of the world. Many photos and videos were taken by the common people in many countries, but the governments keep their silence. This silence seems to be a part of a conspiracy to protect their business interests, but people have a right to know what they are and why their governments do not come clean on it. What are they hiding and why?
Neil Armstrong said before dying that he saw something alien in moon but was ordered by the NASA to keep quiet. The question is why the existence of aliens, and their spacecrafts are being denied by the US Government in the face of massive evidence collected worldwide by so many people. Why they are afraid to admit that there indeed are very advanced civilizations that exist in other planets that may have evolved there thousands of years before even the period of dinosaurs.?
Why they are afraid to admit that life exists in other planets that may have similar atmosphere and conditions like what we have, and we are not alone in this universe no matter what the Bible thumpers claim? This admission that the aliens are real and are smarter than us runs against all the propaganda of the fundamentalists that we are unique, and our world was created exactly 4820 years 28 days ago and even the exact time of the day depending on who is making such claims. This sort of nonsense is the bread and butter of many organized religions, but people are getting smarter now and are challenging them.
This admission that aliens exist challenges the very foundation of many religions that disturbs the propagandists everywhere who exert tremendous influence on what the government's policy may be on the issue, so I do not blame the government of any country that are very cautious about this matter. They may have other reasons for their secrecy, but I believe that eventually the truth will come out when someday a live alien appears on TV and gives an interview to tell the whole world where they came from and how.
Space scientists have discovered many earth like planets where it is quite possible that life exists and has existed long before we came into being as primitive people living in caves. Just imagine the sophistication required to build a spacecraft that flies at the speed of light and can hover like a hummingbird and then fly away at a very high speed. If the aliens have mastered such technology that we the humans cannot even imagine, where does that leave us?
They found the remains of their spacecraft at Roswell and found that it was made of a metal that does not exist on earth. It was so thin and light, yet it could not be drilled through using a powerful drill. Eisenhower was shown a piece of this metal that made him flabbergasted. He then ordered a veil of secrecy on the matter until more could be learned on it. Eisenhower died long ago but the scientists are still searching for the answers today because this technology is beyond their comprehension. They still do not know from which planet or planets the aliens have come and how far they have traveled so quickly when we take 50 days just to reach moon and several months to reach Mars.
The NASA scientists were using slide rules to calculate the technical parameters for their moon mission in 1969 to show how primitive we were before the era of computers. Still, we claim that we have superior technology and self-congratulate but the aliens must be laughing at us.
People did not believe that during the Mahabharata period and before meaning several thousands of years ago, the Indian scientists were able to manufacture flying machines for interplanetary travel until the US soldiers found such a machine hidden inside a cave in Afghanistan. When they tried to touch it and bring it out of the cave for further examination, they received high voltage shock that killed them. The spacecraft hidden there for thousands of years was still active and was protecting itself using some sort of electronic defense mechanism that baffles the scientists today. How can they study it if they cannot even touch it? It is clear that our forefathers were in touch with the aliens and may have learned something from them to build such crafts. In the photo below you can clearly see the Viman (spacecraft) hidden in a cave in Afghanistan that the US soldiers found accidentally.

The aliens were frequent visitors in the past and may have helped build the pyramids in Egypt by teaching the humans how to build it and raise extremely heavy stone blocks to such heights. No one can figure out even today how it was built although the armchair experts make all kinds of theories that do not hold any water. If the Egyptians were able to build pyramids thousands of years ago with just their muscle power and primitive tools, then it is not difficult to believe that they received some technical help from the aliens. Nicola Tesla said that the Pyramids of Giza were built as a source of electrical power that were used for some other purpose. There are etchings on the walls of electric bulbs and intricate schematic diagrams that baffle the scientists and Egyptologists today.
The temple of Kailash in the Ellora cave complex near Aurangabad in India is another example of alien technology that people believe was used to carve a monolithic temple from top to bottom. It is a grand example of alien technology to carve such a huge temple starting at the top of the mountain but has left no rubble around. How is it possible that there are no rubbles that must be in millions of tons? I have seen the pyramids and the Kailash temple but have no answers. Only I am stupefied at what I saw because the scale of these monuments was mindboggling to say the least.

Stephen Hawking warned the world that the aliens are real, and they are keeping a close eye on us to know what mischief we are all up to. They know about the constant warfare we insist on, how we are responsible for the drastic climate change, pollution of the land and sea, ozone layer depletion, the destruction of our forests to satisfy the greed of the capitalists, insane depletion of the marine animals and fish to satisfy the ever growing need to feed the growing population, the abuse of the environment etc. We are slowly destroying our own planet to satisfy our greed while the mother Earth is constantly giving us warning that we must stop or else the drought and famines will become more widespread, the floods will become more devastating, the forest fires will become more frequent, the sea water level will continue to rise to inundate numerous coastal cities and communities.
The mother nature warns us to behave in earth friendly manner, but we refuse to learn from her warnings and continue to do what is so destructive. The wars and famines are caused by greedy industrialists who make money from wars and calamities, so they are not interested in doing what is good for our planet and its inhabitants.
The aliens are watching us and sending us messages to behave but we either ignore them and their messages or we deny their existence due to the pressure of the religionists and the rich people who want to get richer at the cost of the misery of the poor people.
If any government helps the poor citizens with free education, free health care and decent housing, it is labeled as communist and all sorts of sanctions are imposed on it by the rich countries, Cuba being a good example that still suffers the effect of sanctions.
The slavery, the tyranny and dictatorship that exist in many parts, the suffering of its people and the massive dislocation of people who seek safer haven because of constant war in many countries are being noted by the aliens.
The Moon missions have found evidence that suggests that there are signs of aliens there who have warned that people from Earth are not welcome there so they may take defensive actions if they feel threatened by the Earth people. The scientists have found strange lights on the Moon that may be artificial meaning the Aliens may have colonies there. The landing of Chandrayan 3 last night on its south pole of Moon may reveal more secrets to the ISRO scientists in India in the coming days and months that may surprise us, but I will not be surprised.
The Moon is barren but has water and may have large deposits of precious minerals, but it is a very inhospitable place to live in so the aliens there may be using it as an observation post from where they can keep an eye on us and nothing more. It is not difficult for them to find a planet or many planets that offer very hospitable place to live in so it is likely that there are many inhabited planets in our solar system or in other systems that we know nothing about. The theory of universe is now being challenged by many prominent scientists who believe that many universes or multiverses may exist where life may exist and where it may have started millions of years ahead of our planet. In what shape or form the life exists there or may have developed, we do not know because we do not have the ability to travel from planet to planet but brag about the Moon landing of our robots.

Source: Google photo of an alien spacecraft
The aliens must be laughing at our primitive technology because their spacecrafts can travel at the speed of light from one planet to another while we are sending missions of Moon or Mars that fail to land properly there but add to the pollution by leaving behind our debris. We are not satisfied that we pollute our earth but now export our junk to other planets as well. The amount of money the countries spend on space missions can take care of the global hunger and housing shortage but that is not their priority. The amount of money many countries spend on wars in other countries can rebuild many poor countries into very prosperous ones that can contribute to the global economy but that is not their priority. ( Read my blog here called Mysteries of the universe and aliens )
We have no doubt come a long way from the era of Da Vinci and Galileo when saying that earth orbited around sun was a crime, but we still have a long way to go before we learn about the aliens and their civilization, their technologies and their history. The secrets of the Area 51 in Nevada may one day become public knowledge and the poor aliens kept there as prisoners may be released to come out and tell their story to the whole world. We have nothing to lose by meeting them and learn about them because it will promote friendship with them and they in return may help us with their technologies to improve our world to make everyone happy. We can then live in peace and will not be patted at the airports and hassled.
However, if we continue to treat the aliens as hostile, capture them and treat them worse than animals just to learn their secrets, they may communicate with their brothers and sisters who may come to their rescue and flatten the whole base or cities to take revenge. Stefen Hawking was right when he said that we should never mess with the aliens because they may possess the power to destroy the earth and push us back to the stone age if they are angry with us.

Algeria is the largest country in Africa that is four times larger than France that occupied Algeria and called it one of its departments and not a colony. The French built the roads and some infrastructure to serve its interest and developed agriculture to export its produce to France. The Frenchmen and women who lived in Algeria owned massive vineyards to make wine for France but also exported oranges, cereals and other products but the people of Algeria remained poor and abused by their masters called Pied noir.
The pied noirs Frenchmen and women lived in big villas in style while the Algerians worked for them in the vineyards for pittance or doing other menial works for their Patron as they called them but the Algerians wanted to be free, so they started a guerilla warfare in the countryside and fought the French tooth and nail starting in the year 1954 and were eventually successful only in 1962 when Charles De Gaulle announced independence for Algeria. The Casbah in Algiers was the epicenter of guerilla activities where they hid and planned their next move. The French secret police often demolished their homes by bombs, but they hid somewhere else. Today Casbah is not the same. It has numerous shops and clean streets.
It led to a massive exodus of the French from Algeria that left a newly independent country in dire shape because the guerilla leaders knew how to fight but had little knowledge of how to run a country. The freedom came at a tremendous cost of the loss of nearly 1 and a half million lives and hundreds of thousands of people who received serious injuries, but the country had to govern itself somehow, so they started to hire teachers and agricultural experts from other countries.
I arrived as an agronomist in 1971, a mere 9 years after the end of their very bloody conflict and saw a country that was trying hard to stand on its feet, so they built apartments, schools and colleges, new roads and set up numerous industries speedily. Since then, a new Algeria has emerged that has impressed me more than I can write about so I post some videos that you must watch to know how beautiful Algeria really is and how far they have come since its independence.
To enjoy the beauty of Algeria, you should watch the video on a big screen TV because the cinematography is stunningly beautiful and in high resolution that will amaze you in its details. The credit for this masterpiece film goes to Yann Arthus Bertrand who filmed the whole country and its numerous features from above probably using a high-resolution drone camera or himself in a small plane.
Just type the link in the You tube channel on your smart TV that is given below:

The second video is on Kabylie mountains in the East of Algiers where I was posted in the town of Tizi Ouzou for a while before I left for Mostaganem in the West. I have written extensively about Algeria and Tizi Ouzou in my biography so I will not repeat myself here. Just read the Chapter Five using the link given below to learn all about Algeria as I knew in 1971. The whole of Kabylie region and Tizi Ouzou has changed a great deal since then so I may not even recognize the new Tizi Ouzou now. The credit for this marvelous film goes to Massinissa Bouarroudj. It is in French. I cannot find the English version so just enjoy the film.

The last video is on travel in Algeria that will show you in vivid detail the beauty of Algeria with stunning videography.

The Chapter on Algeria is called Remember Djamila, Algeria where you will read about their national heroine Djamila Boupacha who was tortured by the French secret police for days that led to massive protests throughout France to force De Gaulle to grant independence to Algeria but some officers in the French Army were firmly against the independence, so they tried to assassinate De Gaule and failed.
I have poured my heart out on Algeria and recorded every detail I could think of regarding its brutal fight to independence, its culture, its agriculture, its physical beauty, it's marvelous people who offered me food and shelter during the rain and invited me to their homes during the Id festival. I will never forget their hospitality and their benevolence because they treated me so well.
The French people came back to Algeria to teach at their numerous schools and technical agricultural colleges, so I met some of them who became my friends in Tizi Ouzou and some in Mostaganem.
I have lived in countries that have gone through the war and revolution like in Vietnam, Algeria and Haiti where I was a mute observant of the tragedies the people suffered in Vietnam, the pain and agony of a protracted war of independence in Algeria and the horrible revolution in Haiti in 1986 so I recorded all I saw in my biography chapters in detail. Please read those chapters in the link given at the bottom of this blog in the language of your choice.
